intercession

Did the interecessions. Had a woman come up during to the peace. Ask me about the names of the dead. Apparantly i hadn’t read the name of her dead husband which upset her. I realsied this was about real people real lives, not just something that had to be done. Another woman said she enjoyed the prayers, She said she didn’t know me and was surprised to hear I’d been there for over a year.

Intercessions 14th June 09 (Trinity 1).

The response to Lord, hear us is Lord, Graciously hear us.

Lord, we offer to you as workers in the harvest, all we are, all we have, all we do, and all whom we shall meet this week that you will be given the glory.

We pray for the Church of Christ, for our bishop John, our clergy Andrew, Alan, Anthony, Geoffrey, Julian and our reader, John. For all the people who give their time to all the groups and activities in All Saints. Inspire your people, Lord; encourage us in mind and spirit.

Lord, hear us.
Lord, Graciously hear us.

Lord, give us grace to be the food and water that all your creation needs to find its fulfilment in you. Prepare our hearts and minds to be readiness for the harvest already here.

Lord, hear us.
Lord, Graciously hear us.

Lord, we pray for the peace in Iran, whose elections have been disputed.
For all those in authority whose hands the fates of many rest. Bless Elizabeth our Queen with your grace. Show your mercy on those who govern in our name, and through them, let your mercy shine into the world.

Lord, hear us.
Lord, Graciously hear us.

Lord, we pray for healing of our community, for those in distress, the unemployed, the ones disillusioned and broken, for those living in anger and hate.

Lord, hear us.
Lord, Graciously hear us.

Lord, we pray for the sick. Comfort all those who suffer pain and misery of body or mind. Be with those who have any special need and heal the all who suffer from ill health. In a moment of silence before God we pray for those known to us personally, remembering especially , and for all who are in need of the support of our prayers.

Lord, hear us.
Lord, Graciously hear us.

Lord, we give thanks for all who share in the gift of faith that comes to us through our Risen Lord, Jesus Christ. We remember , and in our years mind all who have died in the faith . We pray that we may share with them the joys of your eternal Kingdom.

Lord, hear us.
Lord, Graciously hear us.

Lord, we thank you for this time of fellowship. We thank you that even if we feel our faith is the size of a mustard seed, we have hope you can empower us to do your will and be filled with your love.

Merciful Father

Accept these prayers
For the sake of your son,
Our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Amen
